I am a Software and Hardware engineer with many years in the printing and publishing business. I do website development and software development in those areas as well as database development. I have expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite applications as well as Desktop applications using Microsoft Office applications. This site is a way for me to share some of my ideas and work product with others who may have a similar need. I hope you find something here of interest. Index for Epub trial

This trial version is fully functional for all single document InDesign files where the index is part of the document.  The multiple document features are disabled.  If you need this functionality, please purchase the full version.

Create Hyperlink References

This script will parse a document and find all references to a hyperlink and add it to the hyperlinks panel.  It will find .com, .org, .gov, and .net and also will optionally find email addresses.

Create Live Index for ePub

This script  creates an index which will operate in the same way when exported for Epub or for PDF.  The page links are active and when clicked will go to the requested page. If the index was created by InDesign using the indexing features of the application, normal export of the document to Epub will not export the index as the index markers have no equivalent in an Epub representation. This script avoids this problem by creating a clone of the index which is text based.  The script copies the index to the host file system and then creates a new layer with a non printing attribute.
